Want up-to-date information about artists and health insurance coverage?

See the UCLA Center for Health Policy Research’s  most current analysis of health insurance rates among working artists in the United States.  Commissioned in 2008 by LINC, the Center conducted its analysis through examination of the U.S. Census Bureau’s Current Population Survey data.  Read the report, “Health Insurance Among Working Artists in the United States”.

Findings draw attention to artists’ high rates of privately purchased coverage compared to the general population. Other study findings include comparisons of artists’ health insurance rates by region, age group, and income level. Patterns also revealed by the analysis suggest several possible avenues for improving health insurance coverage among artists.
