Information Networks

Research

More information relevant to artists is being put on the Internet every day.

Technology has opened the barrier of entry for organizations that want to make databases available over the Internet.

This ad hoc development of arts information databases is not without its problems. When artists search online for the resources and opportunities available to them, they often have to track down that information from a wide variety of sources.

Mission

Leveraging Investments in Creativity (LINC) is a ten-year national initiative to improve the conditions for artists working in all disciplines.

As a vital and immeasurable component of our cultural and collective identity, artists help us interpret our past, define our present and imagine our future. Working artists make resonant contributions to the daily lives of our communities, not only as creators, but also as entrepreneurs, educators and involved citizens.
