South Carolina Arts Commission Offers Three Professional Development Opportunities

The South Carolina Arts Commission, a LINC Creative Community, has partnered with three successful organizations to offer training and professional development opportunities to South Carolina Artists.  Using LINC funding to underwrite  these programs, artists will be able to participate  at greatly reduced costs in the Artist as Entrepreneur Institue, the Becoming a Creative Entrepreneur, and the FastTrac New Venture Artists professional development programs.

Investing in Artists: CCI Grant Guidelines and Application Now Available

The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) has published guidelines for the Investing in Artists grant program.  The program  was established in 2007 to strengthen the support system for California artists in all disciplines and provides grants up to $10,000 to individual artists.

Artist Health Insurance / Healthcare Workshop

This workshop will focus on health care and health insurance options for performing and visual artists.  The aim is to give those in our community a firm grounding in health insurance basics, a comprehensive overview of options, and a better ability to make health care coverage related decisions.  We'll review employment related coverage, direct purchase plans, government-subsidized plans, and city-sponsored programs.  There will be a Q&A period at the end of the workshop, and time for individual consultations.
