Illinois Cultural Data Project Launch

There is strength in numbers!

Join us for the launch of the Illinois Cultural Data Project on May 15th at the Chicago Cultural Center. This is an opportunity for key members of your organization to learn about the benefits of this exciting new project. Neville Vakharia from the Pew Foundationand project manager of the Cultural Data Project will introduce you to this national initiative and local arts leaders will inform you about the many ways this online system will benefit the Illinois arts community.

The Illinois Cultural Data Project (CDP) is a great new online tool to help arts leaders understand their organizations better and makegood business decisions. Meanwhile, advocates for the arts are excited that the service will provide them with real hard data for making the case topolicymakers about the importance and value of arts and culture organizations. Finally, starting this summer the new system will help simplify thosefrustrating grant applications: no more filling out the same financial information differently for each funder.

The Illinois Cultural Data Project website goes live on May 1st. Save the date for the May 18th training with a representative from the Cultural Data Project. If you can’t make it then, don’t worry! Additional trainings are being planned for this summer at convenient locations throughout Chicago.
