Artists Health Care Report

LINC supports timely research that helps key stakeholders understand the issues surrounding artists’ ability to find and retain health insurance and health care. In response to the anticipated changes of the U.S. health care system between 2010-2014, Helicon Collaborative and UCLA Center for Health Policy Research conducted an analysis on data collected in a 2009 LINC survey of artists from around the country, interviews with leading artist advocates, health care policy experts, and artists themselves.  This analysis explores the implications of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (PPACA) for the artist population.  Download Health Insurance for Artists: Before and After the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Acts of 2010.
