LINC understands that access to quality, affordable health care is one of the most difficult challenges facing U.S. artists, indeed, many Americans, today. Artists in the workforce exhibit a clear need for better information about health care and health insurance options, and about how to improve access to local resources. LINC is committed to helping artists gain access to this information and to cultivating programs across the U.S. designed to improve access to affordable, quality health care and insurance for individual artists of all disciplines.
 
Through the National Artist Health Insurance Initiative, LINC aims to engage artists through the most efficient channels for delivering information that makes understanding and navigating the health care and insurance systems easier. 
  1. LINC partners with the Actors Fund to deliver information and resources to artists, organizations, and communities on options for affordable, local healthcare and health insurance through the Artists Health Insurance Resource Center (AHIRC).
  2. LINC provides financial resources and direct support for arts organizations in the LINC network who are engaged in programming to meet the unique needs of individual artists in the areas of health care and health insurance.
  3. LINC supports and disseminates research and other useful information on the conditions facing artists within the U.S. health care and health insurance systems.

 

LINC is pleased to announce the re-launch of www.ahirc.org.  The Actors Fund has redesigned this information-rich health care and insurance resource database to be even more user-friendly and informative.
