First Peoples Fund Honors Theresa Secord (MIBA) with 2009 Community Spirit Award

Theresa Secord, founder and Executive Director of the Maine Indian Basketmakers Alliance (MIBA), will be honored by the First Peoples Fund--a LINC Creative Community--as a recipient of their 2009 Community Spirit Award.

Ms. Secord is a 4th-generation Penobscot basketmaker and teacher.  Under her leadership MIBA became one of LINC's ARTOGRAPHY grantees in 2005.
