Creative Communities Projects
Training Business Success Coaches:
The priority of the First Peoples Fund (FPF) is to support Indigenous artists by providing access to the tools and resources necessary to manage small entrepreneurial businesses, achieve economic success, and serve as culture bearers for tribal communities. The Training Business Success Coaches program connects trained coaches who have achieved success in the business sector with artists committed to integrating the development of their creative practice and business skills. The coaches provide training curricula on micro lending, self-assessment, goal setting, business plan development, marketing, and more.
Artist in Business Leadership Program:
FPF also works to expand the demand and markets for Indigenous artists. Through the Artist in Business Leadership program artists are awarded fellowships offering technical assistance, access to capital, and marketing opportunities. The program also provides fellows with independent business expertise which, through individualized training, can strengthen marketing and business strategies.
