COSE Arts Network:

CPAC implements a vision to serve artists as entrepreneurs and small business proprietors by developing programs that allow artists to build skills and focus their time and energy on their core competencies. In collaboration with the Council of Small Enterprises (COSE), CPAC developed the COSE Arts Network which offers business-focused services to artists in Northeast Ohio. The COSE Arts Network offers participants 1) business training workshops, 2) an expanded professional network, 3) opportunities for the sale of artwork, and 4) access to group health insurance plans as well as independent information concerning health insurance and health care. To expand visibility and participation, the COSE Arts Network launched the Arts Business and Innovation awards to recognize both the business skills of artists and the support they receive from small businesses in their communities.

Creative Compass:

Creative Compass addresses the barriers artists face to obtaining space ownership opportunities, and builds the infrastructure for the long-term development of arts and culture as an industry in Ohio and other states of the industrial Midwest. In September 2009, CPAC will host its second arts-focused community development summit, From Rust Belt to Artist Belt. The first summit brought together community development professionals, local public officials, local artists, municipal workers, private developers, and lenders to discuss and explore the role that art-oriented community development can play in revitalizing urban neighborhoods.
