To Market We Go

Through the Montana Arts Council’s To Market We Go program, artists are given tools to succeed in business. Working together with organizations across the Big Sky state, the program offers events, workshops, and opportunities for artists to improve marketing skills, develop greater business proficiency, and access existing markets. MAC has received $127,000 to grow this market-readiness training program to reach at least 100 new artists, expand the number of disciplines supported through its programming, and provide market field trips to enhance artists’ competitiveness in the marketplace. The Cohort Development program addresses the isolation of rural artists by forming regional networks in locations throughout the state. These networks provide learning opportunities such as mentorships, internships, studio-based work, self-directed learning, and potential online learning.
