All Creative Communities Grantees

All Community and Challenge Grantees main image

The Creative Communities grantees are a nationwide network of organizations working to improve local and regional conditions for artists in all disciplines, whose work covers six areas of activity. Each Creative Community was awarded planning grants to articulate and organize their activities, implementation grants and matching funds to launch their work, and sustainability grants to support established programs. This year, with funding from the Kresge Foundation, current grantees were given the opportunity to apply for Challenge Grants focused on expanding their existing programs. Creative Communities Challenge Grants

  • KCArtistLink (KCAL) supports diverse, multidisciplinary, emerging, and mid-career artists through opportunities for professional development, and a network of resources for regional business development.

  • ArtHome

    New York, NY

    ArtHome’s mission is to help artists build assets and equity through financial literacy, homeownership, self-sufficiency and the responsible use of credit.

  • The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) serves California artists working in all disciplines and career phases through training and professional development, financial programs, and community-building efforts.

  • The Community Partnership for Arts and Culture (CPAC) strives to build a broad platform of support for artists in the greater Cleveland area.

  • First Peoples Fund

    Rapid City, SD

    First Peoples Fund (FPF) promotes art and culture as the center of viable models of economic empowerment and sustainability in Native American communities.

  • ArtistLink is a collaborative effort to create a stable environment for Massachusetts artists as they seek workspace and housing. The program provides artists, developers, and municipalities with information, technical assistance, and advocacy.

  • The Montana Arts Council’s (MAC) Artist to Market program provides planning and financial expertise to Montana artists, and promotes relationships with the business community to ensure they can make a sustainable living through their art.

  • Philadelphia Fringe Festival

    Philadelphia, PA

    Artists U is an artist-run, professional development incubator offering a range of intensive, one-on-one and small group training and services to groups of performing artists.

  • Artist Trust

    Washington

    Artist Trust offers grants, professional resources, and career training to artists of all disciplines throughout Washington State.

  • The Chicago Artists Resource (CAR) is a robust website that provides access to comprehensive information to support artists’ practice and methods for communication among artists and arts professionals at all career levels.

  • The Cultural Development Corporation of DC (CuDC) works to support the creative infrastructure of the Washington, D.C. region through access to physical space, professional development opportunities, and direct grants.

  • DiverseWorks

    Houston, TX

    DiverseWorks is a non-profit art center dedicated to presenting new visual, performing, and literary art from emerging artists and innovative mid-career artists.

  • East Bay Community Foundation

    San Francisco Bay Area

    The East Bay Community Foundation (EBCF) is a leading resource for mobilizing financial resources and community leadership to transform the lives of people in the East Bay.

  • The South Carolina Arts Commission (SCAC) provides training and professional development programs for artists in South Carolina. SCAC offers artists a range of business training including bookkeeping, accounting, and marketing courses.
